A Year in Review
Today is a really special day for me and for this business. It marks 1 year that I’ve been working full-time in my own consultancy and my LLC founding date. A real true business birthday. Some days it has felt surreal and amazing while other days challenging and frustrating. However, I’ve made it to a year and am looking forward to each day that comes.
Deciding to go full-time with my business was not an easy choice. A concrete decision to jump headfirst into a dream that I’d begun designing almost 15 years prior. For 10 years, I crafted my skill. For another 2, I built my base and foundation of the enterprise. For this last 1, I’ve accomplished more than I could have imagined.
I’ve created this image as a memento of the year and capturing some of the larger highlights and accomplishments. Despite being new to business ownership and despite a pandemic, this business and I have thrived.
I’m grateful for my network, my community, and my support systems. There have been hundreds of people who have helped me get to this 1 year mark and I am so thankful. That being said, there are 10 people whom I want to specifically recognize. These individuals have provided ongoing encouragement, opened their schedules to me, and provided me compassionate candor when I needed it most. A big thank you to: Aviva Clayman, Valerie Clause, Sarah Eppink, Patrick Gaul, Debra Griest, Sarah Katan, Renee Ligon, Howard Pincham, Alison Streiff, and Sara Warner.
Cheers to one year and looking forward to the next 365 days! I’m on a mission to make change easier and that starts with me.
